Since 1959, when Tom Hughes began his construction business in Yakima,
the Hughes family has earned a reputation as leaders in the building industry.
From our home office located in Yakima, Washington, DH Construction &
Development, Inc. has built over 500 homes throughout Central Washington:
in the Yakima Valley, along the Interstate 82 corridor, and in the Columbia
Basin. Homes built by DH Construction are noted as some of the most prestigious
in the area.
Three generations of the Hughes family have dedicated themselves to doing
only one thing, building quality homes, and doing it well. Doug Hughes,
President of DH Construction & Development, joined his father’s
construction business in 1971. In 2000 Doug’s son, Thomas, graduated
from Central Washington University with a degree in Construction Management,
and he has since joined the family business, serving as Project Manager.
Thomas was recently appointed Vice President of the company.
